This is Decayed Spectrum, a project that allows for color film’s imperfections and unpredictable outcomes to create this aesthetic that is untraditional to standard color film. Shooting color film is quite the experience because I usually see everything in black-and-white, so adding color to the film makes everything a lot more interesting, but exciting. Experimenting with different formats, film stocks, expired film, or film soups, it’s safe to say that I will definitely continue to shoot color film for fun, for the most part. These photos were chosen to showcase how developing stale or expired film can make unpredictable, yet unique color shifts and developing imperfections.
